So another week has gone in the wonderful world of trying to make some money on the internet, so what I have I done and what has been the outcome........
Well I have pinged my website using http://profitinstruments.com/quickindex/ - I have also done this to my other blog. (Must remember to do this blog and the other ones again next week). There is an article on Zemanta Assistant that seems to be relevant - http://best-tutorial.net/blogger-tips/how-to-ping-your-blog-youproblog-com.html.
Below are a list of RSS sites I submitted my website too as well. You can submit a blog to some of them, but it is not always effective.(All links worked at the time of going to press, however they may have moved or anything between me publishing them and you reading this :-) )

I also submitted my website to the top social sites at www.socialmarker.com I even had to sign up for some of them.
Additionally I have been active in the Coffee Shop Forum on Blogger, shamelessly promoting my blogs, and I have the blog about my husband's illness listed on http://www.britaine.co.uk/ - a directory of British Blogs

A new beginning ?
Just over a month ago
For a while now I have wanted my life back. I am fed up of being a wage slave; I am sick of telling my daughters they can’t have things their friends have because I don’t have any money; I am scared that I won’t be able to do the things I want to with my husband before he gets too sick / dies on me; I don’t want to be tired and snappy and stressed the whole time. Well with all these feelings flying round my head an advert pops up on my computer about how you can make loads of money online with minimum time investment. I clicked the advert and was taken off to a microsite which proudly informed me that for a one off payment of $20 they would educate me in the ways of making money.
Now I was tempted, I checked my prepaid credit card balance, and I could afford it (just). So I put in my details, but there was a problem and it didn’t work. So I tried again, and again, and again – unsuccessfully each time. Finally I gave up and left the site, then I saw a link to the MRMI Cashback plan and they were running a month’s trial for $1. Well I was committed in my head so I signed up.
I jumped into the MRMI super cash course with great gusto and hit my first wall. To implement their techniques you need to purchase a web-site and pay for it to be hosted. Now I didn’t do a huge amount of research, just enough to realise that it was going to be about £40 – £50 up front and I didn’t have that kind of money to spare.
So I spent some time learning what I could, and also ended up on the mailing list of Ritoban C, who appears to offer some free tips.
A week(ish) ago
Payday came round again I was no longer a member of the MRMI Cashback system, but there were these free tips. So I got up early on Sunday morning so I wouldn’t be disturbed by the family and I ran through the 3 video links from Ritoban C right up to the sales pitch, for far more than I could gamble. Still the principle seemed straight forward, and he said it only took him 3hours to set up from scratch, so surely I could do it too.
I invested $9.95 in a domain name and signed up for a year’s hosting with Dream Host ($35.40 after a 2 week free trial) additionally I should get the cost of the domain knocked off the price too. Seemed like a bargain, and I know nothing about hosting so I hate to say it but I just signed up with this company. If it turns out to be a bad purchase you will find out here.
I then spent the next 12hours setting up a micro website to try and generate an income. So far with zero success.
Then on Monday I decided to start a blog with pay per click ads on from Adsense and hosted by Blogger. The topic is my husband and his health, mostly because I needed more info and support when he was diagnosed and couldn’t find it so maybe other people are looking too. Also he is a major reason for me doing this, so we can live his dreams before he dies.
Finally today I decided to start a second blog. This one I plan to publish weekly with everything I learn about making money (or not) online.
My first challenge will be to learn how to embed affiliate links so that if you decide to buy any item I signpost I will get paid.
Well this is my first blog on this topic and I don’t know how to embed links yet or make them look pretty so any links will be very obvious. So what else should I share?
Below are the links to my micro website (please feel free to comment here or there on how rubbish it is, just remember it took me ages); to the first training video from Ritoban C; to the MRMI super cash program; to Dream Host; and to Freedom the prepay credit card I use (that last is because if you are planning on trying the same as me this removes the chance of getting into debt and you can get one even if you have a rubbish credit rating).
